It's been a long time since I watched a football game so I decided to take a look at the Super Bowl. It was worth it just to see Pittsburg make a 100 yard return from a pass interception in the infield.
Not something you see every day.
The most incredible thing I ever saw (in football) was a kid named DeVita 8th grade, return his own kick off. He kicked it so high, he was able to run downfield, get under it, catch it and then run for a touch down.
This was around 1961 and its still talked about today. I ran across an account of it on the net.
The Steelers are masters of the short screen pass. AZ linebackers don't really have a defense for it. If they move in to get into the screen, the receivers will go long and get behind them. AZ tries the same but are plagued with butterfingered receivers. It was a short screen at the goal line that allowed the interception and the 100 yard return. 3 or 4 yards from the goal line is the stupidest place to lay down a pass.
I dvr'd the game and its in half time now. Have to say, the Steelers are a class act.

Agreed, that run was incredible considering that was a defensive linesman not accustomed to running a 10 second 100 yard dash. I was worried I'd just watched a man break his neck when he broke the pylon with his head and then waited an eternity for that flag to be resolved.

He was high kicking all the way.
It was a good game, particularly the cliff hanger end

There were a string of superbowls, too many to count, that were very lopsided or very boring. So I stopped watching.
I got a hit, so checked this one out. What a game. Both teams played with heart.
I will never forget the look on Big Ben Roethlisberger's face after the Cardinals got the safety, then marched down the field for a nice score with about 2 minutes left. The camera zoomed to him with a matter of fact look as he put on his helmet and headed to the field. I knew that he knew it wasn't over.
And Twinkletoe Holmes didn't disappoint with his Ballet in the corner of the endzone.
Halftime even had The Boss. The only guy I might be able to forgive for his momentary lapse of reason in backing Oscama. Fellow Jersey Boy you know. Sigh. Hope he sees the light.

First SuperBowl in, oh, maybe, I dunno, 42 years where the game was hugely better than either the commercials or the half-time show. I'm not a big football fan, but that game was really exciting.
Our family grew up in S/W PA, and my dad lived (until Monday) in AZ. So, for him & kinda for me, too, we had two teams on the field to root for.
Dad held off flying here to live just because he absolutely had to watch the Superbowl game on his big TV. Now that's a football fan.
