And not Obama's brand of Hopetm either. Yesterday the voters of New Orleans threw out their corrupt excuse for a Congressman William Jefferson for Republican Anh Cao. Jefferson who has been indicted on charges alleging bribery(they found the bribe money in his freezer of all places).
This is significant for two big reasons.
1. It is one of the most Democratic leaning districts in the county and the heart of New Orleans. It is majority black and most whites who inhabit the area are given to liberal dogma. Most analyst had written this race off as a safe bet for the entrenched Democrat. It says that there is hope that are enough good people to throw out the worst scum in congress.
2. Mr. Cao is a former refugee from Vietnam, knowing first hand the full evils of Communism. His family had been specifically targeted because they had fought against the Communist takeover. I hope such a history gives the ability to see through the lies and doublespeak of the excuse of a government we call our congressional leaders.
