The link doesn't work. Dave the best way to provide links that will always work is to copy the url (link name) into the message you're writing. Highlight the entire url them click on the 3rd button on the 2nd row (youtube button row) with the picture of the earth. This will insert in front of the link and at the end of the link. it will look like this: http://your link here.com/ EXCEPT there will be NO space after 'url' - I inserted them so the code would not be read as html code. ps if you use quick reply you can type the html code yourself link name without the space after url. I hope this makes sense... fyi url - Uniform Resource Locator I don't think he is a nut job either.

I am assuming you meant to include all the letters and special characters after mozilla. :en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&sa=N&tab=wv#
If not, then by leaving them in after the link, it becomes confusing as to your intent.
That is why I thought it wasn't working correctly. I always use the html code since it is explicit.
Also, I have XP not Vista.

Blog from Jela I had the same problem (XP, OfficeXP, Firefox 0.9), and it is fine now, since I removed the checkbox "Use DDE" in Folder Options -> File Types -> url:Hyper Text Transfer Protocol -> Advanced -> Edit "open". And also for url:Hyper Text Transfer Protocol with Privacy. But I have no idea at all what DDE means, so do it at your own risk. There was just sth about IE in the DDE settings that made me suspicious ) - and it worked. * Oh, and I just found out that, if you re-check DDE later, the settings of it have changed to sth with "Firefox" instead of "IE", and the Locate-link-Broser-Window stays away even if it is checked. tedster Thank You Jela! I had the same problem and this was indeed the fix. I changed both options just as you suggested. One additional detail: After unchecking the DDE box, click OK twice just to get back to the "folder options" window. At this point if you go into "advanced" and "edit" again you'll see the DDE box is already checked again but the association has been changed to Firefox. Thanks again! www.webmasterworld.com/forum119/348.htm#:1589114

When you click on 'reply' not 'quick reply' the 'Post Reply' page is displayed as follows (the top 3 entries only):
Subject: xxxxxx Message Icon: has a drop-down list Add Tags: I called them buttons earlier and should have said 'Additional Tags'.
If you place your cursor over the earth tag (2nd row 3rd button) the hover box says "Insert Hyperlink".
My point is, by using the additional tag for urls. you will never have any problems with your links. They also won't be confusing.

They both did... I wasn't exactly sure of your intent... sorry if I made it too complicated. I realized afterwards that you wanted the links to go to google (first one) oxysearch (this one) I had initially read 'source' NOT 'sourceS'. Then the extra letters after the link brought a bit of confusion. yada yada yada... Dave, I wanted to say Thanks - it was a post you placed on an earth geographical happenings website (earthquakes, pole shift, hurricanes, etc.) that led me to Cal's main website. I had never heard of the UB until here, and I wouldn't have read it either (authors are too suspect for me). Nor had I ever heard of Caligastia. You posted from Cal's 'An Abbreviated History of Earth' page www.planetaryhq.com/history.htm, which really intrigued me... this was in Aug 2005. It took me a full 6 months to decide the truth about Cal. Soooooo again, Thanks Dave for pointing the way home. Max

Dave reply: Max I needed to know if your IE could link to the OXY main page. I am thinking in the future of posting links. I will post the link as usual and post the OXY main page that has the link. Since there is usually more than one link on OXY. I will copy and paste the link that I am directing the reader too. With so many different PC's and browsers in operation. This is a quick method.Dave, I wanted to say Thanks - it was a post you placed on an earth geographical happenings web site (earthquakes, pole shift, hurricanes, etc.) that led me to Cal's main website. I had never heard of the UB until here, and I wouldn't have read it either (authors are too suspect for me). Nor had I ever heard of Caligastia. Dave reply: The parable of the house built upon sand verses the house built on rock comes to mind. If you are a person the values facts, reason and logic. And you are a good person. And you seek the Truth. Then your house is built upon a foundation of rock. When the storm comes your foundation will not shift. Your house will not crumble. The house of Caligastia hold Fathers lamp of truth. Skepticism is welcome. However when the Questions have been answered it is up to the skeptic to put the Truth to good use. After all we are only as good as our last act.

Another thought: I view the main page on Planetary HQ as a library.
I view the form on HQ as a truck stop with ham radio operators.
Home is were one walks.
