I am curious: can one opt out of the ascendance in the first round? Can one stay behind after the rapture?

I can answer that: yes. You cant opt out of being ascendant, but you can opt out of being raptured for the 1st judgement. Im willing to bet you have no choice for the second judgement.

Ascendancy is a choice. However, Hollis - why would you want to stay. If you're thinking you'd like to help out those close to you - forget it. If your presence was of any value - you'd have had an effect on them already. Grab the brass ring and take the bus outta Dodge.

i thought that ascendancy was a status, not a choice.

Op,
The choices you make (your actions/deeds) determine the status you are judged as having. Do Good - Be Good applies. Rapture is apparently also a choice. Hollis would do well to take Cal's advice on that one.

What if I wanted to stay behind and help YOU?

I'd tell you that I don't need your help.

Well there you have it. What if the Rapture happens before the end of college football season? Can I stay behind to see if the Sooners make it to the Big 12 Championship? I really think they've got a shot...

The Sooner's could be devastated by the draft to A ::)scendancy. Think it threw. Or don't.

Well now, that IS hopeful, that the Sooners would be so ascendant that the team would be decimated. I feel better already about Texas Tech winning against OSU, screwing OU out of the Big 12 South.

On the other hand there is plenty of room on the hail Mary for a group, to come up with a play.

It is never too late to start following the most important football: the Sooners.
