Tonis,
I agree. Islamists are predictable, commies are not. Communist by default 'imagine' reality and assumes everybody shares their vision. As such, they put Orwels doublthink into practise 100 %.
Our finnish president, the cow, (who blatantly accused / lied that estonians have a 'post soviet trauma' when in fact she is the one who still lives the soviet fantasy and has done so all her life) is great example of this communist mindset. - nobody in finland, not even her most loyal supporters, expect her to come to public in the face of a crisis. I mean, she has never come up to the front in her years in duty, where president is expected to showup. She is nothing.
Whats tragic, is that the president whom I voted who came second with small margin, acts like a president. He comes up and people listens. Tragic is that the situation is similar to a weekend dad who knows that his kids ain't okay with their mom and tries to direct them from the distance, but his hands are tied, yet the kids listens and wishes to live with him instead..
I suspect, that McCain does the same when Obama dodges and remains in shadows..

Indeed, Your president's comments have created quite a turmoil in Estonia. Officially politicians do not really want to say something too strong, because Finland has always been our good neighbor. I think ordinary people know very well what she is. BTW, I have many finnish friends and they all seem to share your views on her.

Have to say that I envy your luck to have your current president and his predecessor especially Lennart Meri.
I heard a story about him that when he was elected and was in your presidents house for the first time, the staff in there warned about 'one room' that was reserved for KGB and that room was sealed from Meri. Meri said that he is the master in the house and that room is going to be opened with axe if nesessary. Staff was pale out from fear and tried to prevent him from opening the door. Well, he opened the door and what was inside? - table with a pile of dust on it and a phone. Nothing else.
'fear is only an empty room' applied perfectly.

Thank you, Z I heard this story as well. It might be one of these city legends but it shows very well what a remarkable person Lennart Meri was.
And yes, on many, if not all occasions fear is caused by not knowing the truth.
