Who's Checking the Fact Checkers? October 13, 2008 / by Roni
After hearing that there may be a connection between Barack Obama's campaign and Factcheck.org, I decided to look a little deeper and see what I could learn. It didn't take much. I went to FactCheck.org, and clicked the "About Us" tab. Up came the page that's posted below.
I'm not sure people realize that FactCheck.org is owned and operated by Annenberg Political FactCheck...yep, that Annenberg!
Obama sat on the board of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, a foundation that offered a $49 million 2-1 matching grant for education. Who else sat on this board? None other than William Ayers himself.
I read blog after blog where Obama supporters reference FactCheck.org over and over again, to verify a source, or back up a statement. Well now, it would seem FactCheck.org has had a dog in this fight all along! So much for their claim of non-partisanship!

They've produced another paper, this time a photograph rather than a digital scan. I must admit, this is a much better shot at a forgery than the earlier Daily Kos version. The fact it was produced in June 2007 stinks to me. Okay, so where's the original? www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/born_in_the_usa.htmlThis guy here does his own analysis on the new "document", with comparison images. polarik.blogtownhall.com/

My thoughts exactly. They post it on a PR website, but don't hand it over to the BERG v. OBAMA case. Hmmm....
