The Enviromental Nazi's in CA have mandated that trucks must be fitted with $20,000.00 retrofits to save the planet from global warming.

At a time when most trucking concerns are sitting idle because mfg's aren't shipping anything, the cost of staying on the road is more than most can handle. Effectively, trucks won't be able to deliver goods to anyone. The cost is roughly a third of the cost of a new truck and all of these retrofits aren't on new trucks.

When people start to go hungry maybe they'll change their rules.
Then.... maybe not

Its no secret that the environmentalists hate the existance of human progress. They'd be content to have us eat berries and wild fruit while living in forests(given that we don't cut down any trees to make shelter).
