The most acclaimed and celebrated teacher to come from the Hindu Caste system in the last century was Jiddu Krishnamurti. He was to be installed as the leader and head of the Brahman Order upon his coming of age about fifty years ago. His ordination ceremony was attended by many thousands of followers much like yourself, people who craved a rigid and regimented system of rules and submission to authority. Krishnamurti stood up to assume his role as leader and delivered his first, last and only speech to his confused followers.

He repudiated all of the dogma he had been groomed to represent. He rejected all forms of authority, rules, castes and codes. He resigned his position on the spot. He said that the path to enlightenment required a complete and total divorce from all forms of subjugation and belief systems.

He then spent the rest of his long life traveling the world and engaging and encouraging all who would listen to his message of freedom and liberty.

Many of his conversations and forums at various universities were recorded and later published. I suggest you read a few.
One of the best is titled: "Talks and Dialouges with J. Krishnamurti".

Hi Dave

I am as American as any on this form. Born in this country to parents that were born in this country, to grand-parents that come from Switzerland'/India giving up the past and fully integrating into Americana. As all that came at the time(late 1800's) did. My Grandparents never taught their children the old languages, nor the customs of their forefathers, just English and the American way. Plus the old customs being replaced with the culture of the new world left no residual influence from previous generations as to original culture. Which was a mix of east and west anyway. I didn't even know my grandmother was Indian until I was 30! Years after coming in contact with eastern thought.

I have as much rights to be here and remain discontent as the next American whom would SEE a need to rearrange and change the very ways and concepts of right and wrong that has lead us down a very dark path up to now. That IS who we are... we see a thing working badly, citizens suffering and we fix it to function congruently for the benefit of others. This is Ksatriya, he whom keeps/reads the pulse of the people and administers change as medicine to mitigate pain and suffering of the general population. As to the issue of king. Me thinks that you're forgetting the reason the United States came into being - the abusive dictates of King George and history is replete with examples that there are more bad ones than good ones. The last good dictator was Simon Bolivar more than 400 years ago.

Nice to hear from you. I've come here now for a couple of years and have had an interesting time reading your pages. Great stuff, but I do have trouble following your subjects some times. I think that terminology is the culprit and depth of information reveled. We could very well be kindred spirits. It was said by one of my predecessors Gurus that was born in India to a Christian family, that Christianity was covered Vaisnava. So with that key in mind I decipher for my intelligence your writings.

The most essential thing for any ruler to consider is how to arrange that his subjects become more in harmony with God's rules and regulations for human development in the matters of sensual gratification, economic development, development of piety, and ultimately total liberation from material bondage through unshakable faith in one's eternal relationship as servant of God.

All scriptures agree that the chanting of the names of the Supreme Being, or God the Father of All, is not a material activity, but a spiritual one. The spiritual sound vibration transcends materiality. It is the only cure for the souls attachment to misconceptions of the dirty materialistic mind.

Proverbs 18:10 says - "The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe."

Acts 2:21, 36-38 “And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” ...

Isaiah 57:15 - "For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, Whose Name alone is Holy..."

Srimad Bhagavatam Canto Canto 4, Ch.10, Verse 30.

Translation All the sages said: Dear Dhruva, O son of King Uttanapada, may the Supreme Personality of Godhead known as Sarngadhanva, (the one who relieves the distresses of His devotees), kill all your threatening enemies. The holy name of the Lord is as powerful as the Lord Himself. Therefore, simply by chanting and hearing the holy name of the Lord, many men can be fully protected from fierce death without difficulty. Thus a devotee is saved.

PURPORT
The great rsis approached Dhruva Maharaja at a time when his mind was very perplexed due to the magical feats exhibited by the Yaksas. A devotee is always protected by the Supreme Personality of Godhead. By His inspiration only, the sages came to encourage Dhruva Maharaja and assure him that there was no danger because he was a soul fully surrendered to the Supreme Lord. By the grace of the Lord, if a devotee, at the time of death, can simply chant His holy name—Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare/ Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare—simply by chanting this maha-mantra, he immediately surpasses the great ocean of the material sky and enters the spiritual sky. He never has to come back for repetition of birth and death. Simply by chanting the holy name of the Lord, one can surpass the ocean of death, so Dhruva Maharaja was certainly able to surpass the illusory magical feats of the Yaksas, which for the time being disturbed his mind.


So coming together to worship God by singing his glories, speaking of topics of Him and His Sons and Servants speaking of how these beings practically effect one's life, all serve to gradually purify the soul of those materialistic ties that bind them to repeated birth and death in varying degrees of passion and ignorance within the material deminar.

As the cart must follow the horse, all organizational improvement to a group of people must begin with SOME SINCERE RECOGNITION OF THE PRIMACY OF GOD. And for some this can simply be a recognition that the King is a servant of this mysterious divine being named God, and that the King's law is the last word.

In any event, the King's success is absolutely determined by how many people he can induce to contemplate God in some form or another, and for most, this is repeating his holy name in song with fellows, or on rosary beads to oneself, and hearing narrations of his activities and glories from the scriptures. And if there is sincerety by those who practice this lifestyle, all good things and harmony will ensue in parallel to the advancement and development of such a true spiritual culture.

Those who will reject the simple reformatory process of paying attention to God must be sequestered outside of the boundaries of the King's land, and the King's men on the borders must remain vigilant against their return, even to the point of regularly venturing forward to offer opportunities to those evolving groups to join the party, and upon rejection receive due harassment and denigration of infrastructure so they cannot mount enough strength to come and prey upon those living the life of spiritual practice in the land protected by God's principles of civilization.

No small task, but the most Noble there is.

My question would be what is a king with no population? Next the concept and purpose of Armageddon serves the purpose of a true King as written in the Book of Revelation. It seems to me that one can't just pick and choose what is of conveyance to ones self.

Mark suggests a spiritual culture for a person who is inclined to a formula or face destruction.

Between RCB and Mark there is not a lot of room for freewill. Is that not the quality the Father of us all gifted to us?
